SISSYDUDE LOVES: CALL ME A GHOST “an erotic film about melancholy” by NOEL ALEJANDRO… (TRAILERS & SEXY PICS)

BARCELONA – Alternative gay porn director Noel Alejandro is proud to announce the release of his first erotic film, “Call Me a Ghost”. In Alejandro’s protagonist’s life, something seems to be permanently out of place. He is intelligent, attractive and talented – however this supposedly good life seems to lose relevance as he falls into commanding sadness. He resists to leave his house and starts to feel desolation taking over when, at the apex of a major crisis, he is visited by a supernatural presence. Feeling strangely attracted to it and with nothing to lose, he welcomes the ghost, maybe hoping to sense contact with someone else. Will this strange presence become a safe harbour for him to reassert control? The ghost is surprisingly graceful: is there a place for desire in sadness? Could pleasure become a weapon in fighting deep solitude?

Part of the director’s effort in pushing the boundaries of the adult film industry, Call Me a Ghost is a moving portrayal of human melancholy, and a daring exploration of the roles of sex, pleasure and intimacy in the life of a man whose hope is falling short.

Now, the explicit trailer…

“Call Me a Ghost was made to tell us that sometimes feeling blue is fine – even in the porn world.”

Call Me A Ghost will be available from February 17th

“Sadness wasn’t my first emotion choice when writing Call Me a Ghost. The original inspiration was about doing a good explicit film about the supernatural, something with ghosts and a good dose of mystery. But the more I thought about the plot, and the more I explored the details, the more I saw this sad atmosphere surrounding my character. At first I thought it was presumptuous (or even just wrong) and started to hysterically shake my hand over my character’s head trying to dissipate the dark clouds. But they just wouldn’t go away. And then I understood.”

YAY!!! MEATZINE GOES TO BERLIN…

MEATZINE: In the Autumn of 2016 London gay pinup zine meat travelled to Berlin to photograph some of gorgeous men in a fitting tribute to one of the most free and open gay cities in Europe.

This March the results of 4 days and 17 shoots in the homes of these gorgeous me, meat Berlin will be published by Photographer Adrian Lourie.

Adrian, who first published Meat in 2010, explained that he was “tired of the body shaming that goes on within the gay community.” Adding that his photography “celebrate’s the bodies of ‘ordinary’ gay men.”

Heading to Berlin is meat’s third outing from the UK after sell out issues photographed in San Francisco (meat SF) in 2013 and Paris (meat Paris) in 2016. As Adrian explains “Meat is very much about regular British men but it is incredibly poplular in outside of the UK, so it’s lovely to have a chance to meet some fantastic men from different cities across Europe and show that as gay men wherever we live, we have more in common than the things that make us different.”

In two editions you can enjoy an eclectic and diverse mix of prime German beef in their undies or less.

“If you can become just your own self, if you can blossom into your intrinsic nature, then only you will have blissfulness – a peace which cannot be expressed in words, and a certain poetry to your being; a certain dance to your being, because you will be in tune with existence. To be in tune with yourself is the only way to be in tune with existence.” – Osho

SISSYDUDE LOVES: THE AWESOME GRAPHIC GRAPHICS of vintage DRUMMER MAGAZINE!

So I’m home with a flu/ cold that just lingers and won’t go away… and for some reason DRUMMER Magazine popped up in my head. Lately, I’ve been seeing images of vintage covers popping up on Instagram, Tumblr and such. The graphics and photos really look amazing to me. So here are some mind-blowing images that I found, mostly via some lovely soul named Vince who scanned a full 20 issues! LOVE… probably one of my fave Sissydude posts. Enjoy!

Images posted here via VINCE @ SCRIBD. You can look through Vince’s scans of a full 20 issues HERE.
So much great stuff to savour!

WIKIPEDIA: Drummer was an American magazine targeted at gay men with an interest in the leather subculture founded by John H. Embry and Jeanne Barney in Los Angeles, 1975. Because of police harassment, the magazine moved to San Francisco in 1977, with Jack Fritscher as new editor-in-chief (1977–1999). The last number of the magazine, issue 214, was published in April 1999.

Drummer was the most successful of the American leather magazines and was also sold overseas. The publication had a major impact of spreading gay leather as a lifestyle and masculinity as a gay ideal. The magazine was originally focused on quality writings about leather but gradually changed into more of a photo magazine. Among the published writers and artists were Phil Andros, Tim Barrus, Scott Masters, Tom of Finland, Robert Opel, Fred Halsted, David Hurles, Rex (artist), British artist Bill Ward and Larry Townsend. It featured comic strips starring buff gay secret agent Harry Chess by Al Shapiro (under the name “A. Jay”). The photographer Robert Mapplethorpe contributed a photograph for the cover of issue 24, September 1978.

The magazine arranged yearly International Mr. Drummer contests in San Francisco, 1981–1999 (ca).

(watch a bit of the 1985 contest at the end of this post)

Manga artist Gengoroh Tagame has pointed to the magazines illustrated strips as a major influence on his own work.

Also check out the 3 part interview with GLBT Historian Jack Fritscher (the founding San Francisco editor in chief of the legendary leather magazine Drummer
(1975-1999) at the end of this long obsessive post.
