Antonio Da Silva’s NUDE DUDES is about my experience during my visit in Tel Aviv. I was hosted by Matan and Menache, two young guys who practice nudism in their own house. While being flatmates they openly expose their sexual interests to each other and their guests. Managing their online dating profiles is a part of their daily routine. I was intrigued by their non-tabooed dynamic. They brought me to the nudists beach where to my delight I saw a similar openness from the crowd.
Away from the open Mediterranean waters, an unforgettable experience was swimming in the Dead Sea with two guys I had met at the festival I was attending at the time. Connection, freedom, sex, elevated senses and feelings, ejaculating life in those dead waters. Its unique composition transported all three of us to another stimulating dimension.
After all, no matter the conflicts in the area I felt connected and open for a better well being like the locals do…
INSPIRED LOOK OF THE DAY: DOMINIC VINE’S PEEK-A-BOO BUM, PHOTOGRAPHED BY RON AMATO for THE SUMMER DIARY PROJECT
“Howdy John, I was walking through the field the other day, and couldn’t help but notice a giant “sissy” scrawled across the grass, in the shadows of our hay ring.”- Dustin C.
CARIOCAS by Antonio Da Silva
This is a voyeuristic hunt during my trip to Rio de Janeiro with lots of sea, sun, sweat and sexual encounters. Brazilian men care about their physique and they freely allow admiration of their sculpted bodies. The sensuality of those men creates blurry sexual identities.
An outdoors gym in the Arpoador area unveiled to me the vibrancy of the country and the diversity of men. Just behind the gym there is a gay cruising park. The gym crowd training during the day is very different from the one training at night. The film is a portrait of this shift while adding more Brazilian testosterone to this Summer’s football excitement in the country!

GENDERBENT: In photographic form, the series focuses on those who bend the traditional gender roles.
This photography project was founded by Los Angeles-based photographer Dusti Cunningham and Jacob Rostovsky, a transgender activist whose life passion is working for the advancement of the community.
One of our goals with this project is to showcase the beauty of those who have custommade and bent gender to make it their own.
We are also working with the nonprofit organization Trans United with Family and Friends (TUFF), the mission of which is to give financial assistance toward transition costs for gender-nonconforming individuals. All proceeds made beyond our goal will go towards this organizations mission.
Eventually we would like to publish a book of the work and also showcase the photos with gallery shows across the country.

SISSYDUDE LOVES: Greg Endries’ photos of Frankie Valenti (aka Johnny Hazzard) for SUMMER DIARY PROJECT
The Big Shave is a 1967 six-minute short film directed by Martin Scorsese. It is also known as Viet ’67. Peter Bernuth stars as the recipient of the title shave, repeatedly shaving away hair, then skin, in an increasingly bloody and graphic bathroom scene. Many film critics have interpreted the young man’s process of self-mutilation as a metaphor for the self-destructive involvement of the United States in the Vietnam War, prompted by the film’s alternative title. The music accompanying the film is Bunny Berigan’s “I Can’t Get Started”, recorded in 1937. The film was produced at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts for a film production class called Sight & Sound Film. wiki
