INSPIRED LOOK OF THE DAY: DOMINIC VINE’S PEEK-A-BOO BUM, PHOTOGRAPHED BY RON AMATO for THE SUMMER DIARY PROJECT
“Howdy John, I was walking through the field the other day, and couldn’t help but notice a giant “sissy” scrawled across the grass, in the shadows of our hay ring.”- Dustin C.
CARIOCAS by Antonio Da Silva
This is a voyeuristic hunt during my trip to Rio de Janeiro with lots of sea, sun, sweat and sexual encounters. Brazilian men care about their physique and they freely allow admiration of their sculpted bodies. The sensuality of those men creates blurry sexual identities.
An outdoors gym in the Arpoador area unveiled to me the vibrancy of the country and the diversity of men. Just behind the gym there is a gay cruising park. The gym crowd training during the day is very different from the one training at night. The film is a portrait of this shift while adding more Brazilian testosterone to this Summer’s football excitement in the country!

GENDERBENT: In photographic form, the series focuses on those who bend the traditional gender roles.
This photography project was founded by Los Angeles-based photographer Dusti Cunningham and Jacob Rostovsky, a transgender activist whose life passion is working for the advancement of the community.
One of our goals with this project is to showcase the beauty of those who have custommade and bent gender to make it their own.
We are also working with the nonprofit organization Trans United with Family and Friends (TUFF), the mission of which is to give financial assistance toward transition costs for gender-nonconforming individuals. All proceeds made beyond our goal will go towards this organizations mission.
Eventually we would like to publish a book of the work and also showcase the photos with gallery shows across the country.

SISSYDUDE LOVES: Greg Endries’ photos of Frankie Valenti (aka Johnny Hazzard) for SUMMER DIARY PROJECT
The Big Shave is a 1967 six-minute short film directed by Martin Scorsese. It is also known as Viet ’67. Peter Bernuth stars as the recipient of the title shave, repeatedly shaving away hair, then skin, in an increasingly bloody and graphic bathroom scene. Many film critics have interpreted the young man’s process of self-mutilation as a metaphor for the self-destructive involvement of the United States in the Vietnam War, prompted by the film’s alternative title. The music accompanying the film is Bunny Berigan’s “I Can’t Get Started”, recorded in 1937. The film was produced at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts for a film production class called Sight & Sound Film. wiki

BUTT: 33-year-old artist Colby Keller does porn to support his art. And why shouldn’t he? It’s clear to Colby and everyone who knows him that art has been his true vocation since he was a kid. He grew up in Houston, Texas, has that friendly, Southern demeanor, and is obsessed with all things Native American — as a kid, he’d come to show-and-tell and do a rain dance. He studied anthropology, but eventually moved to Baltimore to do his graduate degree in art at the Maryland Institute College of Art. As he cleans house and prepares to leave Charm City, I meet up with him at his apartment and studio in Lovegrove Alley. It’s a little bit like talking to the Dude from The Big Lebowski, or rather, the Gay Dude. READ THE FULL INTERVIEW HERE @ BUTT MAG & PICS HERE
Sample of interview:
BUTT: Have you done any camming?
COLBY: I’ve done it, but it’s an incredibly emotionally demanding thing to do. You have to get some kind of enjoyment out of seducing, and, to a certain extent, you have to be an exhibitionist. Those things just don’t come naturally to me. People are mean too. They’ll be like, ‘You’re fat’.
B: Do you watch a lot of porn yourself?
C: I watch a little bit. But for maybe two years now, I’ve kind of stopped masturbating regularly. I’d go weeks without masturbating, not even think about it, and then, all the sudden, it’s like, oh shit, this is affecting my hormone levels. Like, I can’t do this. So I’ve tried to be much more deliberate about it. I could fantasize about something, and I do, but it’s so easy to pop in a video and in twenty minutes, you’re done. It almost feels like medical.
B: Don’t you ever want to like look into the camera and say, ‘Turn off this video and go have sex!’?
C: I do want to say that, but there are some people who can’t have those relationships for whatever reason, or find it difficult. Porn is way to access that erotic potential. Even though I’ve had very satisfying interpersonal sexual relationships, because it’s so much easier when I’m in control of it, oftentimes I have better orgasms by watching porn than I would with someone else. That’s the part that disturbs me. That’s why I stopped masturbating. I want to learn how to have better, consistent orgasms with another person.
B: When you’re not busy making porn, do you have a day job?
C: I have done a lot of different jobs to make money… I’ve been a nanny. I watched my first child from when she was about six months old until she was about three.
PIX is my new short film and it is inspired by online Gay dating. PIX is a series of flickering images (faceless-selfies) of 2500 gay men building a three minutes animation portraying what is happening in the “marketplace of desire”. Thousands of male bodies in typical male poses are put together creating the mosaic of one body.
You can watch the trailer on my website.
The full-length film is also available after a contribution of 1$. Every contribution helps me to keep on producing my self-funded films that aim to be artistic as well as sexually explicit.
PIX contains sexually explicit content. Make sure you are over 18 years old before clicking to the site.
PIX goes beyond the casual hook up. For some our online profiles and exposed body feed our narcissistic and exhibitionistic side, while for others is an endless voyeuristic hunt.
