I remember this 80s thing quite well….i always thought Bettie B wanted to devour the youth and innocence of all the ‘soon-to-be-rebeautified’ – like literally eat them up….Drag for early morning TV she was…Eventually they rebooted the series and it starred Karen Baldwin (Canada’s own Miss Universe 1982). Thanks for the reminder – and Bettie’s black and white ‘inverted nun’ thing that fits like a sheet is for the ages…perhaps something she saw in French Vogue 1982…

You are amazing for posting this. I thought about this show for the first time in decades and didn’t think I’d be able to find anything. This is great! Thanks!

Thanks so much for posting!!! I’ve been thinking about the show a lot lately…many of our ‘new’ trends like makeup ‘baking’ are just reboots of old stuff. I remember watching this in jr high when I was home or recording it on the vcr lol…What really stuck in my mind was the ‘powder rub down’ they came up with to set makeup and give a nice matte finish. Today we call it baking but the same technique or similar has been around since the show was on. I learned a lot of great tips that still work today. The millennials think they’re creating totally new things lol but we know better
Thanks so much for the memories! Bettie was unforgettable!
