Fanny was one scary, dictatorial lady.You didn’t mess with that girl!
Part of her appeal was that strange make-up, the shaped eyebrows, the fake eyelashes…
Then there was her hubby, Johnny, with the monocle, hovering in the background, utterly useless and a shambles.
God, those were the days before Delia Smith appeared on the scene and suddenly it was like looking in your freezer at the ice compartment…

Is it possible that Lypsinka is mistakenly channeling Fanny by mistake? Those eyebrows, arrgghh…
Have you seen the clip ( live tv no less ) where she served up seafood/snails? and forgot to cook them and they were crawling off the plate… and she chided the presenter for complaining! Brilliant! And don’t forget the bigamous marriages!
In heaven Joan and Bette are both competeting to play her and she’s directing it herself.
