The Body Politic Collective (photo courtesy J. Moldenhauer)
This was taken in 1972, in a shed behind 4 Kensington Ave that was then home to both the paper and Glad Day books, which Moldenhauer also started. Jearld is at left, then behind him, left to right, are Bob Wallace, Ed Jackson, Hugh Brewster, me, and in the back row, Merv Walker, Paul Macdonald, and Herb Spiers. The space was cramped and cold, but much of gay liberation in Toronto started here.
