“More Toronto back in the Seventies. This photo was a set-up, on Yonge St, with Ed Jackson and Merv Walker. I was the photographer. We were trying to gauge reaction, for an article in the gay publication The Body Politic (where we all worked), to public displays of homo affection. Passers-by may have been a little startled, but no one said anything about fags or beat us up. It was a risk we took, though. (with Ed Jackson and Merv Walker).” – Gerald Hannon
